In the midst of a domestic violence situation, a yoga teacher and massage therapist were arrested after they beat a massage therapist in front of other students at a North Carolina high school, according to a news release from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.
A 19-year-old man was taken into custody Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, the release stated.
According to a release from Henderson County District Attorney Michael Koster, the woman’s boyfriend and a third person were the aggressors in the assault.
The man and the woman were on their way to a massage parlor at St. Luke’s High School when they allegedly went to the other woman’s home and beat her with a belt and wooden boards.
At one point, the man punched the woman in the face, causing her to fall to the ground, according the release.
The third person then intervened and grabbed the woman, Koster said.
Both the woman and the boyfriend were arrested, and the man was transported to a hospital for treatment of a lacerated lung.
This is a developing story.
