In August, the company bought brook stones, a company that sells massagers and other massage products to hospitals, and will also open a store in the United Kingdom, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Wal-Mart has previously acquired brands like the Apple iPad Pro, but its foray into massage oils is the first time it has bought a massager brand.
A spokesman for Wal-mart did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Brooksstone also sells the Brookesoneers massage oil to medical facilities in the U.S., and it is currently available at Wal-marts nationwide.
The company said in a statement that it has been able to expand its global footprint through strategic acquisitions, which will help expand our presence in the global marketplace.
Brooksoneers is currently in negotiations to acquire the entire company, which would mean it would include all of the Brooksones brands.
